Terms of service

By accessing or using MECoLab (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

MECoLab provides a monitoring and evaluation platform for social development organisations, including tools for project portfolio management, activity tracking, budget management, beneficiary data collection, evidence capture, and reporting.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify account administrators of material changes.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no guarantees about availability, though we strive to maintain 99.5% uptime.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep this information up to date.

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that remain inactive for extended periods.

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

You may not use the Platform to transmit, store, or process any data that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Platform.

You may not use the Platform in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it, or interfere with any other party's use.

The MECoLab Platform, including its code, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your organisation's monitoring and evaluation purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

You retain full ownership of all data entered into the Platform, including project data, beneficiary records, and uploaded documents. We claim no ownership over your content.

By using the Platform, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide and improve the Platform's services. This licence ends when your data is deleted from our systems.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as necessary to provide the Platform's services (e.g. cloud infrastructure providers).

Upon termination of your account, you may request a full export of your data. All data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 60 days.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MECoLab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform.

Our total liability for any claims under these terms shall not exceed the amount paid by your organisation for access to the Platform in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We are not responsible for any loss of data, profits, or business interruption arising from your use or inability to use the Platform.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, you will lose access to the Platform and your data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without cause, with reasonable notice. In cases of violation of these terms, we may terminate access immediately.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify account administrators of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Platform.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
